This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can control them. This site is operated by Icon Media Solutions Ltd t/a The British Shorthair Cat and governed by UK law.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember preferences, and help website owners understand how their site is being used.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function. They do not store any personally identifiable information and cannot be switched off.
WordPress session cookies (wp-settings, wordpress_logged_in) — used to manage sessions for logged-in users only. Visitors are not affected.
LiteSpeed Cache cookies — set by our caching plugin to serve pages efficiently. They contain no personal data.
Gravity Forms cookies — used to maintain form state across multi-page forms where applicable.
Analytics cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it: which pages are read, how people find the site, and roughly where in the world they are. Its cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, are set only if you accept statistics cookies in the cookie banner, and they last up to two years.
If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. The Google tag still sends Google a cookieless signal that a page was viewed, which Google uses for basic measurement and to model visitor numbers.
Marketing and advertising cookies
This site does not use marketing or advertising cookies.
How to control cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how this website functions. For guidance visit aboutcookies.org.
